On December 1, Zachary Sanford was sworn in by Mayor Eileen Patton as the newest member of the Fairview Park Police Department.

Zach is a 22-year-old resident of Columbia Station. He went through the law enforcement program at Polaris during high school, winning state and national competitions related to law enforcement while enrolled. He is OPOTA certified, having put himself through Polaris’ Ranger Academy. He has been working as a part-time police officer for the Olmsted Falls Police Department as well as security with Sherwin Williams. Zach has started his Field Training Officer program and should complete his training in February or March of next year.
