The Building Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Building, Exterior Property Maintenance, and Zoning Codes with regard to construction, renovation, repair, maintenance, and occupancy of all buildings and structures in the City of Fairview Park.

The Building Department issues plan approvals/permits to perform work on buildings and structures, maintains housing records, registers contractors working in our city, conducts inspections, and issues occupancy permits for new structures, new businesses, relocations, or changes of tenancy. Fairview Park’s building inspectors are licensed State of Ohio residential and commercial inspectors.
