IMG_1955The grand opening of Pita Pit at 3520 Westgate took place Monday, December 7 at 9:30 AM. Mayor Patton and City of Fairview Park officials were in attendance to welcome this new business to Westgate Shopping Center. Pita Pit is a fast-casual restaurant franchise that sells made-to-order pita sandwiches. The Westgate location is the first Pita Pit in the Greater Cleveland region.

The Building Department issued two Certificates of Occupancy in November, including Pita Pit. The second was for Flawless Beauty Salon, which will open at 22067 Lorain Road next to Mr. Hero. This storefront is the former home of Peter Alfred Salon, which relocated to Salon Lofts at Westgate.

The Family Dollar location at Lorain Road and West 220 Street will be closing soon. In its place, Dollar Tree will be opening at 21739 Lorain Road inside Fairview Shopping Centre. Dollar Tree is currently working through the City’s approval processes. Family Dollar and Dollar Tree merged into a single company in January of 2015.

The City would also like to acknowledge two other business happenings that occurred this year. First, we would like to welcome Lashes and Lullabies by Dawn Ulm to Fairview Park. This business is a newborn, child, and family photography service. Resident Dawn Ulm opened her photography studio at 22300 Lorain Road earlier this year. Second, Strive Elite Fitness relocated across the street from its original location to 21545 Lorain Road.
