The Fairview Park Garden Club was established in September of 2001. The group's purpose was to inspire interest in the growth of vegetable gardens and flowers and to encourage their use in bringing enjoyment and beauty to homes and to the community. In addition, the club strives to promote area conservation and to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the City of Fairview Park.
Fairview Park Garden Club is a non-profit organization that donates funds and volunteer service for the planning and planting of more than ten Fairview Park city-wide garden areas, in addition to making various other donations throughout the year. Past recipients have included the Fairview Park Hunger Center, Bain Cabin Restoration Committee and the Cleveland Botanical Garden Student Bus Program. Membership is open to all adults and information will be available at the Summerfest tent. Programs pertaining to gardening subjects are presented at each of the eight yearly meetings.
