We Do Care

We Do Care was founded by Fairview Park resident Harriet Beekman. In 1967, Mrs. Beekman was concerned that U.S. troops in Vietnam were feeling neglected. That year, she implemented the We Do Care program, supported by other mothers in Fairview Park who had sons in the armed forces. She continues as its Chairperson to this day, and community support is enlisted to send gift packages to military personnel. To date, the We Do Care program has sent over 1,000 boxes to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
