The Fairview Park Police Department is under the leadership of Police Chief, Patrick Nealon. Over 50 employees serve as members of the Police Department. This includes 28 full time sworn officers, fifteen auxiliary officers, clerical staff and school crossing guards.
Our Police Department provides 24-hour law enforcement and emergency services to the residents, businesses and visitors of Fairview Park. Services include accident and crime investigation, arrests or citations of traffic and criminal law violators, assistance with interpersonal disputes, delivered by uniformed and plainclothes officers.

In 2007, AAA presented the City with the "Pedestrian Safety Award" for the 11th consecutive year. For the eighth consecutive year, no traffic fatalities were reported.
The "Are Your OK" Program was made possible through a grant from the Ohio Attorney Generals Office. Computer generated calls are made to the homes of Senior Citizens who enroll in the program. If there is no response, a police officer is immediately dispatched to check on the welfare of the senior.
The Police Department, in cooperation with the Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, was the recipient of a free computer and software as part of the Lost Child Alert and Technology (LOCATOR) Program.
According to the National Crime Information Center, on average 2,100 missing children are entered everyday into NCIC. LOCATOR provides the tools and technology to aid in the search for these children.
