The City of Fairview Park welcomed a new Firefighter/Paramedic and a new Patrolman to its safety forces on January 19, 2016. Firefighter/Paramedic Heath Hartegan and Patrolman Adam Reyes were sworn in by Mayor Eileen Patton immediately preceding the regularly scheduled meeting of City Council.

Heath Hartegan is a 2006 graduate of Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio. After graduation, Heath attended Ohio Technical College where he received a Certification as an Auto Body Technician. He then enrolled at Lakeland Community College followed by Auburn Career Center where he completed his state certification requirements for Firefighter and Paramedic. Heath worked part-time on the Mentor Fire Department as well as the Madison Fire Department.

Adam Reyes is 23 years old and a resident of Lorain, Ohio. He comes to Fairview Park from the Lorain County Metro Parks where he was a Park Ranger. Officer Reyes holds two associates degrees from Lorain County Community College, a Bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University, and he is a graduate of the Lorain County Community College Police Academy. He is also fluent in Spanish.
