The Fairview Park Fire Department deserves a big congratulations on the results of its most recent Public Protection Classification (PPC) survey conducted by the Insurance Service Organization (ISO). ISO collects information on municipal fire protection efforts in communities throughout the United States. ISO then analyzes the data and assigns a PPC from 1 to 10. Class 1 generally represents superior property fire protection while Class 10 indicates a community’s fire suppression program does not meet ISO’s minimum criteria. ISO’s PPC Program is recognized as an objective, countrywide standard evaluation of a community’s fire protection services.
