Police Department BadgeThe Police Department is responsible for the safety and security of persons and property within the City of Fairview Park. The department, under the leadership of Police Chief Erich Upperman, is composed of over 50 employees, including full-time sworn officers, auxiliary officers, clerical staff, and school crossing guards.

The Police Department provides 24-hour law enforcement and emergency services to the residents, businesses, and visitors of Fairview Park. Services include accident and crime investigation, arrests or citations of traffic and criminal law violators, and assistance with interpersonal disputes, delivered by uniformed and plainclothes officers. The department also assists our community with our bike patrol, speed enforcement trailer, motorcycle unit, ride-a-long program, child fingerprinting, youth commission diversion, crime prevention program, Polaris shadowing, and college internships.
