Fire-Station-2On March 15, 2016, the residents of Fairview Park will be asked to renew our five-year fire levy, which helps fund the critical operations of the Fairview Park Fire Department. This is a RENEWAL only and will allow the Fire Department to provide you with the professional services that you have come to expect and deserve.

Originally established in the late 1970’s, the fire levy was created to provide and maintain fire and medical apparatus, department buildings, and firefighter/paramedic staffing. The cost of the 1-mill RENEWAL levy will continue to be approximately $37 per year for a home valued at $150,000, and will allow us to continue to staff the fire station 24 hours a day with six firefighter/paramedics.

Our Fire Department works hard to maximize efficiencies in operations and has shown little to no increase in our operating budget for the past several years. Over the past five years, call volume has increased by 27% and shows no sign of slowing down. Based on call numbers so far, we expect to see an additional increase in service calls in 2016.

The Fire Department is honored and thankful to serve the residents of our community and we will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of people around us. Thank you for your continued support and always know that your fire station is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is just a 911 call away.
