Old Lorain Road Trail

Old-Lorain-Road-Trail-MarkerThe original route of Lorain Road, appropriately named Old Lorain Road, descended from Story Road into the Rocky River valley south of where the Lorain Road Bridge stands today. In the 1990’s, this route was transformed from a single lane thoroughfare into a walking and biking trail to provide our residents with pedestrian access to the Cleveland Metroparks’ Rocky River Reservation.

The Old Lorain Road trailhead is located at the intersection of Lorain and Story Roads, and is signified by a Rocky River Reservation sign. The trail travels behind the Emerald Necklace Inn and descends to connect to the 13.6 mile long Rocky River Reservation All-Purpose Trail.
