Beginning the week of January 16, 2017, crews from Layne Inliner will begin lining the sanitary sewer along West 229th Street between Lorain Road and Clifford Drive.  Affected residents will receive a door hanger notifying them of the construction along with contact information for a field representative with Layne Inliner.  Aside from limiting water use, there will be minimal disruption to service.

Sewer lining is a process where a composite liner is pulled through a sewer using existing manholes and then cured in place.  No excavation is required.  The result is a sewer that has been cost effectively sealed and renewed without full replacement of the sewer.  This is a priority project resulting from the City’s investigation into the basement flooding issues on the west side.
