Should you lose electrical power in your home, please call the Illuminating Company Emergency Outage Center at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877).  It is recommended that you add this phone number as a contact in your cell phone so that you may call immediately.

Each individual home must report the outage in order to provide the address/location as being without power.  First Energy also uses the information to determine the size of the outage.

Do you experience frequent power outages at your home? FirstEnergy has a process in place for frequent outage complaints – an entire department dedicated to power quality, called the Reliability Engineering Group.  This group can be reached by calling 800-589-3101. Say “representative” when prompted for the reason for the call and tell the representative that you would like to file a frequent outage complaint. FirstEnergy has indicated that it is best for homeowners to call directly because it helps them to obtain specific information about your particular outage.
